April 2012

 Enrollment

Re-enrollment for the 2011-2012 school year is well underway.  Fifty-seven percent of our current student population has already secured their space for the upcoming year.  The office will be following up with all students that have not re-enrolled in the next few days to confirm your intent for the fall.  As classes are beginning to fill with new students, it is very important to get your registration materials in quickly.

 Testing Week Is Here!

Our Terra Nova testing week begins Monday morning, April 16th.  We will be testing all students K5 -11th grades.  We will test each day from 8:45-11:30.  Thank you for protecting this week on your calendars.  It will be a tremendous help to both your child and your child’s teacher to make sure that you are here no later than 8:15 each day.  All testing will be concluded by Friday afternoon.  Please contact the school if your child will be absent for any reason.  Please refer to your classroom newsletters for any specific instructions concerning snacks for testing week.

 Orientation for Rising 7th Graders

All parents and students of current 6th graders are asked to attend our middle school orientation on Tuesday, April 17th at 6:30 pm in the new theatre in the brick building.  Students and parents alike will find this evening to be very beneficial and informative as to the culture and expectations of Middle School life.  All of the upper school faculty will be in attendance for parents to meet and available to answer  questions.  Students that are already enrolled for 7th grade will be given the opportunity to register for elective classes as well.

 Crusader Sports

Lady Crusader Soccer is off to a fantastic start.  Our girls are showing much promise and Coach Forester is very pleased with the team’s progress.  All home games are played at the Red Oak Field in Weaverville.  We have home games on April 16th, 17th and 19th next week.  Come out and support Crusader Soccer!
